Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
UtilBloom is designed so most tools keep your files and inputs in your browser. This policy explains what we do and do not collect.
Local tools
Local tools process data in your tab using client-side code. We do not operate a general-purpose file upload storage service for those tools. Closing the tab clears in-memory working data from our perspective.
Hybrid and server tools
A minority of helpers make network calls. Pages that do so show a notice above the tool. Today that includes:
- DOI / citation lookups via the Crossref API (DOI string only).
- Redirect checker and HTTP header viewer via UtilBloom's own
/api/routes (public URL metadata only, not file uploads). - YouTube thumbnail helpers that load images from YouTube's public thumbnail CDN when you request a video ID.
Do not paste secrets into hybrid tools unless you accept that limited network call.
Analytics
If analytics are enabled in production, we may use privacy-conscious measurement (for example Google Analytics 4 and/or Microsoft Clarity) to understand aggregate traffic and improve the product. You can block analytics with browser controls or extensions.
Advertising
We may show third-party ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to personalize ads and measure performance. You can manage ad personalization via Google Ads Settings. See also Google's advertising technologies policy.
Cookies
Essential preferences (such as theme) may be stored locally. Analytics and advertising vendors, when enabled, may set their own cookies subject to their policies.
